Network Operation Planning : Building Reliable and Resilient Systems
As Australia continues to expand its digital infrastructure and modernize its transport systems, network operation
Okami Cho brings a practical, user-focused approach to active transport planning — understanding how people move through corridors and designing solutions that improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity. Our work spans corridor assessments, schematic design, and construction support across both urban and regional settings.
Recent projects include leading the active transport assessment for approximately 11km of Leach Highway for Main Roads WA, identifying existing usage patterns, constraints, and opportunities along the route, and developing the schematic design for a Primary Route cycle corridor. We are also supporting the delivery of the Wittenoom Street Cycle Corridor in Perth’s inner city — a 2.1km route connecting Matagarup Bridge to central Perth — where our role spans schematic design review through to detailed design, balancing safety and accessibility improvements against the real-world constraints of street trees, parking, and local access.
